RDL DD-BTN44 -Dante Streams & Network Configuration- With QSC Core 8 Flex & Net Gear GSM4230P

1. Connect RDL-DD-BTN44 to switch.

2. Download or open Dante Controller. (Download Dante Controller Software | Audinate)

3. Configure RDL-DD-BTN44 network settings & device name in Dante Controller software.

4. Set Transmitter multicast flow streams.

5. Next Configure QSC Core network settings and design in QSC. You must use Software Dante block. When program is loaded/connected to core, you should be able to click channel device box & it will populate Dante Streams you configured in Dante Configurator.

6. Next in your QSC Design Properties Change your PTP settings to match this Note PTP priority for QSC is 56, 46, 34(older versions), & 26. Make sure you change from QLAN to Audinate for any Dante streams you do in QSC.

7. Next, your Net Gear network configuration needs to be Video with QSC Audio. You need to manually change DSCP IP QUEUE MAPPING. The priorities need to be changed in switch. 56, 46 ,34, & 26 should be ordered highest to lowest 7-4. (You may have to change settings around in order of priority.

If you do not do these steps, the issue will result in jitter and audio drops. Above are the settings for making Dante Configurations for RDL DD-BTN44 with QSC Core. The switch setting works best with 46 being 7 (the highest priority) on the DSCP IP QUEUE MAPPING and on QSC Designer preferences PTP Priority1 - 46. PTP Priority2 - 56 at 6 (Second highest priority) with Audinate selected.
